THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW – WATERSIDE:
Racing is organised on behalf of West Mersea Yacht Club (WMYC) and Dabchicks Sailing Club (DSC) by a committee comprising of members of both clubs.

Smacks, Cruisers and Keelboats: Brian Bolton / Blue Horizon (Dufour 38)

Signals made ashore
For the MFOB and dinghy classes, signals made ashore will be displayed from the flag mast at the head of the causeway.
Launches: The launch service, call sign YC1 on Ch. 37 (M), Tel: 07752309435, is provided by the WMYC, DSC and Peter Clarke’s Boatyard, and will run from 08.30 each day. To comply with their licences, the launches carry a maximum of 12 passengers – to help in peak periods, please allow plenty of time to get to your boats and gather all crew members together to minimise the need for return journeys.
Pennants & Streamers: Mersea Week 2018 pennants are essential for all those taking part in the Smack, Cruiser & MFOB events. Coloured streamers are essential for all competitors in the dinghy events. These can be collected from the Race Office from 18.00 until 19.00 on Saturday 25th August and from 8.30 on Sunday 26th August.
Moorings: Free mooring, for competitors, is very kindly provided by Mersea Moorings Association for the duration of the week. Contact WMYC launch (call sign YC1 on Ch. 37) on arrival to be allocated a mooring.
Please display your Mersea Week Pennant to show you are entitled to these services.
We look forward to seeing everyone on the water and, of course, in the bar.
PLEASE BE SAFE AND HAVE FUN!
